18th AGM (Kuntabesi)
On Saturday, Bhadra 29, 2081 (September 14, 2024), the 18th Annual General Assembly of the organization, under the Kunta Service Center, held a unit meeting at the Kunta Gym Hall, chaired by the organization's president, Mr. Babukaji Parajuli. The program had the chief guest, Mr. Tok Bahadur Waiba, the Mayor of Mandandeupur Municipality. The event was conducted by the organization's secretary, Mr. Ram Prasad Koirala, with the special guest being the Ward Chairman of Ward No. 7, Mandandeupur Municipality, Mr. Bishnu Prasad Poudel.
The event was attended by representatives from Sankalp Swak Cooperative, Mandandeupur Cooperative, Ranitar Milk Producers Cooperative, Umadevi Milk Producers Cooperative, Mahakali Secondary School, advisor Saroj Sapkota, and other dignitaries. The organization's vice-president, Mr. Jandabi Adhikari, delivered a welcome address to the guests and members. In his congratulatory message, chief guest Tok Bahadur Waiba expressed that the institution, Aarthik Bikash, has been reliable and financially capable for uplifting the economic status of its members and ensuring savings security. Similarly, special guest Bishnu Prasad Poudel, during his address, encouraged confidence in financial transactions for economic development.
Vice-president of Sankalp Swak Cooperative, Mr. Ganesh Prasad Nepal, and Secretary of Mandandeupur Cooperative, Mr. Shanta Prasad Poudel, praised Aarthik Bikash Cooperative for winning the hearts of its members in the Kunta area in a short period and lauded its strong financial indicators and member activity.
The meeting, attended by 73% of the total members affiliated with the service center, discussed and approved the organization's annual progress reports, plans and budgets, and financial reports. From the unit meeting, three representatives and twelve minute-verification representatives were selected. During the event, outstanding savers, top borrowers, shareholders, child savers, and those who benefited the most from the protected capital return fund were honored in various categories. Additionally, the unit meeting became successful by actively engaging members through a special raffle draw. The organization extends heartfelt gratitude to all involved for their active participation and anticipates continuous support and cooperation in the future.
